iMac EFI Firmware Update 1.4 to Cure Freezing Issues

Perhaps pressured by the onslaught of hate messages and public rant on its website's support forum, Apple released iMac EFI Firmware Update 1.4 just a while ago to finally put an end to the 2009 iMac freezing annoyance.

Most users in the forum suspect that the ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics chipset installed on the iMacs is the cause of the problem. However, no confirmation from neither ATI nor Apple has been heard on the matter.
