Honor 10 Philippines Price is PHP 23,990, Full Specs, Availability, Actual Unit Photos

For those who are hearing about this smartphone brand just now, Honor is a subsidiary of Chinese tech giant Huawei that was initially created to compete with budget handset brands in China and eventually became the online-exclusive mobile devices arm of the company in many territories around the world.

Here in the Philippines, Honor first became active in 2015 but quickly entered into hiatus lasting for at least an entire year.

In May 2018, Honor made a stellar comeback in our country with the release of a slew of new budget-friendly yet more-than-capable Android smartphones.

The Honor 10, which was officially launched in the Philippines earlier today - May 30, 2018 in Shangri-La Hotel at The Fort in BGC, is the brand's flagship-level handset this year.

As such, this model has the best design, build, imaging capabilities, and set of internal hardware among all of Honor's smartphone offerings as of writing.

Looks-wise, Honor 10 flaunts a glass-sandwich design language that gives it an air of sophistication and corporate elegance.

The Phantom Blue version, in particular, has a classy, iridescent shade that greatly reminds me of the very popular Huawei P20 Pro.

The device's IPS screen measures 5.84 inches across and has resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels or FullHD+. Featuring a notch, which some people like and some people hate, this display has a tall 19:9 aspect ratio, which allowed it to cover most the handset's face, allowing for smaller footprint.

One of the true highlights of the Honor 10 is its Dual Rear Camera Module - made up of a 16 MegaPixels f/1.8 shooter plus a 24 MP monochrome cam - which enables virtual bokeh effect for portraits and better contrast in various lighting conditions.

Additionally, this set-up is powered by AI technology that instantly figures our the object or subject in front of the camera and makes instant adjustments to deliver the best-looking shot possible.

The ultra-high-res 24 MegaPixel f/2.0 selfie snapper in front also benefits from this software innovation, allowing it to deliver more natural looking self-portraits after beautification.

Honor 10

As for internal hardware, the Honor 10 variant for the Philippines runs its EMUI 8.1 customized Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with a 10nm HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor (same as what powers the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro), has 4GB of RAM, and comes with 128GB of non-expandable storage.

Honor 10

Having Dual SIM capability via two nanoSIM slots and supporting 4G LTE-A mobile connectivity, Honor 10 is powered by a fairly large albeit non-removable 3,400 mAh Li-Po battery pack that should be good enough to deliver a whole day of uptime with regular use.

For those who are interested, Honor 10 will be exclusively available initially through Shopee from May 31 to June 4, 2018. After that, the smartphone will be out at select official retail partners of Honor.

Donning an official price tag of PHP 23,990, this flagship model will be out in two colors here in the Philippines: Phantom Blue and Midnight Black.
