The product of Facebook's Snaptu acquisition is out!
FYI: The estimated value of Facebook's Snaptu acquisition earlier this year is around $70 Million
Developed by the very same team that brought us the rather popular Snaptu social networking app, Facebook for Every Phone is a Java-based application, which lets users easily access FB on a mobile platform. It works on any phone that supports Java, including those that don't run on iOS, Windows Phone 7, BlackBerry OS or Android operating system. So now, practically all feature phones have a Facebook app made specifically for them.
Facebook for Every Phone currently works on more 2,500 handsets, including the whole Samsung Corby line, Samsung Chat, Punch and Champ family, LG Cookie line, all Nokia S40, Symbian S60 and Symbian^3 phones among so many others by various brands.
To download the app, all you have to do is to visit m.facebook.com using your phone's browser via Wifi or 3G, log-in to your Facebook account, scroll down to the very bottom of the News Feed page, click on the Download (Facebook App for your phone) link and install the application.
You can access Facebook for Every Phone using either Wifi or your mobile network. Standard data charges may apply.
