First Flying Car Takes Wing, Flies Rather Low

For centuries, Aviation enthusiasts have dreamt of creating an actual flying car -- with its function not completely taking over the typical boxy car form. Concepts have been drafted but realizing them has been elusive, as Physics states that boxy form and flight don't go well together.

Enter Transition, Federal Aviation Administration's new class of 2-seater Light Sport Aircraft -- touted as the first ever Car that practically flies!

Some think that it's just a typical plane with a cockpit that resembles a car but still, the concept is there. So kudos to the students of MIT's Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics who started the Transition project four years ago.
