BlackBerry Curve 3G Philippines : Price, Specs, Photos

Yesterday afternoon at the Makati Shangrila, Research In Motion (RIM) officially announced the new BlackBerry Curve 3G, an exciting addition to the popular BlackBerry Curve series of smartphones.



Designed to provide the growing number of smartphone consumers with a distinctly powerful yet affordable choice, the new BlackBerry Curve 3G supports high-speed 3G HSDPA networks around the world and gives users a plethora of exceptional communications features required to accomplish more in life, whether at work, at home, and everywhere in-between.



"The BlackBerry Curve 3G is both an accessible and feature-rich smartphone which will be popular with customers in the Philippines who highly value communications and productivity tools that help them get ahead of their day. With the ability to connect to 3G and Wi-Fi networks, users can access content quickly, as well as take advantage of useful features like built-in GPS to share their location on BBM," shares Gregory Wade, RIM Managing Director for South East Asia.

The BlackBerry Curve 3G smartphone features a comfortable thumb-type full-QWERTY keyboard for fast yet accurate typing, optical trackpad for fluid and easy navigation, built-in Wifi and GPS or added flexibility and dedicated media keys that allow music lovers to play their tunes easily and quickly while on the go. This new smartphone also features a camera that also records video and a microSD/SDHC slot that supports up to 32 GB of flash storage. Support for 3G networks makes streaming music smoother, browsing faster, and gives users the ability to talk on the phone while they surf the net or instant message using the highly-popular BBM or BlackBerry Messenger.



The BlackBerry Curve 3G ships with BlackBerry 5 operating system and is BlackBerry 6 ready. BlackBerry 6 is a new operating system for BlackBerry smartphones, retaining the trusted features that distinguish the BlackBerry brand while delivering a fresh and engaging experience that's both easy to use and powerful. Subject to carrier certifications, BlackBerry 6 is expected to be available for the BlackBerry Curve 3G in the coming months.
