The much-awaited follow up to the widely popular BlackBerry Bold 9700 hasn't even been officially announced by RIM yet -- but a review and walk-through video of the phone is already floating around the net.
BlackBerry Bold 9780, despite looking almost identical to and sharing a few similar technical specifications with BB Bold 9700, is a true upgrade from its predecessor. BB Bold 9780 flaunts a 5 megapixel camera (vs. the 3.15 MP camera of 9700) and runs the updated BlackBerry 6 operating system with its 512MB of RAM and its yet to be disclosed CPU. The rest of the specs are pretty much the same – full QWERTY keypad, optical trackpad, HVGA display, Wi-Fi and 3G with HSDPA connectivity support, GPS and microSD card slot that supports up to 16GB.

BB Bold 9780 will be available in Canada via Bell come November 2, 2010. Subsidized pricing hasn't been disclosed but the retail price is $499.99. We've yet to hear word from RIM on the handset's availability in Asia Pacific but I guess it will arrive here sometime this Q4 or by Q1 next year.
