Steve Jobs Calls Adobe Lazy, Says Google Wants to Kill the iPhone !!

According to Wired (and their anonymous informer from Apple), Steve Jobs recently had a question and answer forum with Apple employees at Town Hall, One Infinite Loop, Cupertino, where the Apple CEO finally aired what he REALLY thinks about Google and Adobe.

Now, we all know that Google all of a sudden decided to enter the phone handset industry by releasing Nexus One (with Nexus Two coming out in a few months) -- sorta giving Apple iPhone a run for its money. This, of course, wasn't taken too lightly by Steve Jobs who used to have Eric Schmidt, Google CEO, on the Apple board. At the Town Hall meet, an obviously irritated Jobs was quoted saying:

"We did not enter the search business. [Google] entered the phone business. Make no mistake they want to kill the iPhone. We won't let them."

Finally, on the issue regarding iPhone OS' lack of support for Adobe Flash (, which has perennially been quoted as one of the reasons for passing on the iPhone, iPod Touch and recently, the much talked-about iPad), Jobs allegedly said:

They are lazy. They have all this potential to do interesting things but they just refuse to do it. They don’t do anything with the approaches that Apple is taking, like Carbon. Apple does not support Flash because it is so buggy. Whenever a Mac crashes more often than not it’s because of Flash. No one will be using Flash. The world is moving to HTML5.

True enough, Youtube - owned by Google - has recently revealed that it is rolling out a player that supports HTML5 on top of its current Adobe Flash based player.
