  1. this is because most pinoy can't buy the gadget they want and they just prefer to look at it, review it, and tell their friends "there is a new gadget in the US, how much will it cost? oh it's so mahal i can't afford it"

Are you crazy? Or just plain unimaginative?

If Filipinos hardly have enough buying power to purchase these gadgets, why would they even bother reading about electronics? If that's the case, they'd probably just focus all of their attention and energy into providing everyday necessities for themselves and their families.

Obviously, Filipinos love gadgets and have more than enough money to purchase the ones they like.

How would you explain the overnight success of Blackberry in the Philippines? Forcing RIM to hire a PR agency in the country. How about the fact that TipidPC and TipidCP are consistently in Alexa top 100 sites in the Philippines? Or that TipidCP is never short of people selling their iPhone 3G simply because they want to upgrade to 3GS?

This country isn't the consistent record holder in most number of text messages sent per day for nothing. The Philippines is a gadget-obsessed nation and this is something that electronics companies the world over have to take note of. These companies have to take advantage of the opportunity present here and advertise and market as much as they can.

  3. Gadgets can't be less expensive, because of what and how it's been made. When you say technology you should expect that you should be saving more from your allowance just to buy it.. lol! But nevertheless even if it is so expensive people are still craving for the new one. The society today is the biggest influence. The new trend is more of advance. Even though the price is a bit pricey it is worth to buy those gadgets because of the high quality. Unlike if you buy the clone of it that you can use for about few months and then it will start to crack and then you can't do anything aside to throw it away. My advice is to always buy the original!
