iPed: iPad Clone - Runs on Android, Has 7" Screen and USB Port
Rarely - if it all - does a gadget clone from China show any true sign of commercial promise. This, however, may prove to be an exception --
Forget Wu Xiaolong's overrated P88, here's China's definitive iPad clone, iPed aka APAD:

Donning a 7" resistive touchscreen, iPed runs on Google's Android mobile operating system - Cupcake 1.5, I believe. As for the hardware, rumor has it that the device is powered by a yet-to-be-specified Intel processor -- That detail we've yet to confirm but based on this grab, we know for sure that iPed has a USB port, earphone and microphone jack and what looks like a memory card slot:

Here's a news report on the device -- it's in Japanese, but you don't really need to listen to the audio to get what's happening:
Nice. But the best part is the price: Only $100 or roughly Php 4,700.
It's now out in China; Elsewhere? I don't think so.
Now, how to get one? Hmm.
