Torque Trinity TQ800 Supports Triple SIM, Wifi and TV

If, for whatever reason, you are on the look-out for a handset that can run three different mobile numbers at the same time and you are willing to take a risk on a relatively new mobile phone brand, then here's something you might want to check out:

Torque TQ800 Trinity is the Philippines’ First Triple-Sim-Triple-Standby handset that allows you to use three different service providers (even landline-sim card providers) on a full-featured device.

"Torque TQ800 is perfect for the travelling businessman. Aside from its Triple Sim feature, it's also Quadband, WIFI ready, has TV and FM Radio for entertainment [on top of] all the other basic mobile features," says Chris Uyco, Torque’s CEO and the brains behind the brand.

Beautifully crafted with QWERTY keyboard and easy access buttons with a sturdy Trackball for easy navigation, Torque TQ800 is a head turner. But its specs are also note-worthy. It has an internal memory that can store up to 3000 Phonebook Entries, with Motion Sensor for selected phone functions, extra large and clear 2.4” LCD that makes TV viewing on the device a pleasurable experience. The phone is also equipped with FM radio, bluetooth and WiFi connectivity support, 2MP camera with video recording and a micro-SD expandable memory card slot.

Exclusively distributed by Topstrasse Global Inc., Torque Trinity TQ800 will be available at all leading phone distributors nationwide come 2nd week of June with an unbelievably low price tag of less than Php 8,000.

UPDATE: From having a price tag of Php 8,000 when it was announced two months ago, Torque Trinity now costs only Php 6,499!

  5. I have just purchased this unit and here are my observations:

    1. There seems to be a problem with SMS of SIM3. Only the latest message received is properly saved and all previous messages are rendered unreadable. However, I restarted the unit and everything seems to be okay now. This is for further observation.

    2. I'm having difficulty with the "O" key. But this could be specific to my actual unit.

    3. I experienced a problem with the charger the first time I used it. I needed to reset all the connections. However, it has not occurred again and I have already used it for a second time.

Generally, the unit is good except for the observations just mentioned. I plan to bring it to Africa soon.

  7. I am here in Africa for about two weeks now and here is my experience:

    1. The phonebook won't work if you place two Globe SIMs (Line 2 and Line 3).

    2. The phone works with a local SIM (Zain), a Globe SIM (activated for International Roaming and partnered with Safaricom), and a Sun SIM (activated for International Roaming but forever searching for a partner).

    3. The phone just whites out at times. This has happened to me at least twice.

    4. The camera flash just permanently lights at times. This has happened to me at least twice.

Will share more experiences as I encounter them.
