SOLVED ! Google Adsense Ads NOT Showing on Homepage of Blog or Website

I experienced this on my blog last week: Adsense ads showing everywhere else on the site aside from the Home page.

If you're an Adsense publisher and your site is manifesting the above-mentioned symptom, this post is for you.

As it turned out, the solution to this problem is very simple: Create a Privacy Policy page for your website or blog. Google Adsense wants to see it before it puts ads on your Home page.

Google has changed the Terms and Conditions of its Adsense program. And one of the new requirements is for all Adsense publishers to have a "Privacy Policy" info page or section on their websites. Quoting Google Adsense,

"You must have and abide by an appropriate privacy policy that clearly discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your user’s browser, or using web beacons to collect information, in the course of ads being served on your website. Your privacy policy should also include information about user options for cookie management."

How to write your Privacy Policy?

Basically, you just have to tell your readers that cookies and other info about them are being collected as they browse your site. Also, mention that The DoubleClick DART cookie is used by Google in the adsense ads served on your website.

If you'd rather not write the policy yourself, you can just go to SERPRank's Privacy Policy Generator page and let it create one for your site. Publish the policy and put the link on the Homepage. Then, wait a day or two for Google to crawl your site, see your new privacy policy page and tell Adsense to put ads on your homepage again.

There. I hope you find this helpful.

  4. Thanks for helping me out on that problem. You'd think that Google would notify everyone before shutting down ads on home pages. I spent a good deal of time checking my WordPress settings. Believe it or not, as soon as I posted my updated privacy policy, the ads returned!
