First, iPhone 4G. Now, the supposed iPod Touch 4G. Seriously, what's up with this barrage of Apple leaks happening just a few days apart?
To the delight of some Apple fans and to the skepticism of others, two prototype units of the rumored next-generation iPod Touch with camera set for 2010 release were recently spotted by 9to5Mac (story and photos source) being auctioned off on eBay:
Someone has put up two semi-working iPod touches WITH cameras and a development version of the iPod OS on Ebay. They are marked with 'DVT-1' and 'DVT-2', 'Apple Development Team' and one is running some sort of 'switchboard' OS window.
Yes, we put our bid in but we have a feeling that Apple is going to be the 'High bidder' on this one. Perhaps you'd like to pull a Gizmodo and contact the seller before Apple wakes up?
Unsurprisingly, the eBay listing was quickly taken down as soon as online media picked up the story. Someone's playin' tricks on us, obviously.
If you remember, photos a similar device were leaked around August or September last year prior to the announcement of iPod Touch 3G. Here's one picture from that set:
Needless to say, this photo turned out a hoax.
