Yahoo! Mail, which was inaugurated on October 8, 1997, is a free web-mail service provided by Yahoo!. It is a product of the company's acquisition of Four11 and rebranding of the latter's Rocketmail venture.
Here's a look at how Yahoo Mail Sign In Page evolved through the years.

On April 1, 2004, Google announced Gmail, which offers free webmail with a then staggering 1 gigabyte of storage. As a result, most of the other major webmail providers like Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail likewise considerably increased their mailbox storage.
On August 26, 2007, Yahoo! Mail finally left beta and launched two versions of itself known as Yahoo! Mail (, which is also the default interface) and Yahoo! Mail Classic (an updated version of the beta interface).
In March of 2009, Yahoo! Mail Classic integrated Yahoo! Messenger, another Yahoo service, is its interface so users can email and chat at the same time.
