HP's sleek 14" multimedia Core i5 laptop has finally reached the Philippines.

Touting a striking brushed metal case and fast Intel Core i5 chip, HP Pavilion dm4 packs practically everything you'd want in Windows 7 thin-and-light laptop. It looks great and delivers high performance and functionality.

This 4.4-pound notebook sports a 14.0" High Definition LED HP Brightview Widescreen Display, HP's Truevision Webcam with Integrated Digital Microphone, Altec Lansing Speakers, 6-cell Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery and LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD±RW with Double Layer Support. On top of its 2.26GHz Intel Core i5-430M Processor, HP Pavilion dm4 also comes with ATI Radeon HD5450 Graphics chip with 512 MB of Video Memory, 2GB of DDR3 Memory and 320 GB SATA Hard Drive (7200 rpm). Perhaps the one feature that dm4 users will appreciate most in the notebook is its Linux-based Instant On operating system. This is ideal for those who don't like to wait for Windows 7 to boot just to be able to perform basic tasks on their PC like viewing photos or surfing the web.

HP Pavilion dm4's Instant On interface has 3 panes: one for surfing the web, another for reading e-mails and a third for viewing photos and watching videos stored on the PC. Instant On's web browser is a basic version of Firefox that supports tabbed browsing and remembers your tabs for the next session.

HP Pavilion dm4 is currently available at all HP authorized retail outlets nationwide with price tag in the range of Php 46,990.
