Meet recently-announced Nokia 5250 --

Nokia 5250 is a full-touchscreen, music-centric device aimed at anyone seeking a sleek phone that offers a variety of features but comes with a very affordable price tag.

The handset flaunts a music player accessible right from on the home screen; Music tracks can be downloaded from Ovi Music website or from your own collection. As for storage, there’s 51 MB of memory on board, but users can expand this to up to 16 GB with a microSD card – enough space for around 4000 songs. The phone also features an FM radio. To top off its musical credentials, Nokia 5250 ships with a free copy of Guitar Hero 5 Mobile: inviting you to rock out while on the move.

This phone is also ideal for social media fans. On the home screen, there’s an easy access to Facebook and Twitter. Also, you can log-in to multiple email accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Ovi Mail, as well as your instant messaging accounts from all the usual suspects. While the device doesn't support Wifi or 3G connectivity, you can always turn to your carrier and their affordable prepaid plans and promos to access the net and your social networking accounts.

The device will stay up for up to 18 days on standby, give a total of seven hours of talktime and play 24 hours of music non-stop.

Nokia 5250 runs Symbian^1 operating system and supports GSM/EDGE communications over four bands and GPRS for data. It has a 2.8-inch TFT resistive touchscreen with 16:9 aspect ratio and 640 x 360 pixels resolution. On the back, you will see its 2-megapixel camera, with Ovi Share installed, letting you easily upload your snaps to your social media accounts.

Nokia 5250 is expected to hit store shelves the world over come Q4 this year with an estimated price tag of around 115 Euros before taxes. It comes in a variety of colors including Blue, Red, Purple, Dark Grey and White
