iPhone 4 Philippines - Globe Plans Price Scheme Speculation Based on iPhone Historical Initial Release Pricing Details

Whether Pinoys like it or not and regardless of its antenna debacle, iPhone 4 is bound to be released in the Philippines and Globe Telecom will most likely be its official carrier (Given that the company had also officially carried iPhone 4's predecessors, iPhone 3G and 3GS).

Update as of September 21, 2010:
iPhone 4 is now officially available in the Philippines via Globe. For ACTUAL and OFFICIAL pricing scheme of Globe iPhone4, kindly click on the link.

So I guess it's but valid for Apple fans to speculate on the iPhone 4 pricing scheme that Globe will implement once the phone reaches our shores. What better way to do that than to first turn to the historical initial release pricing details of previous iPhones via various Globe plans for guidance.

Well, what dya know? From 3G to 3GS, iPhone price actually went down - if a bit. (Check out Prepaid Kit pricing details of 3G vs. 3GS, Plan 4999 pricing of 3G vs. Plan 5000 pricing of 3GS.) This is despite the fact that 3GS' specs slay 3G's in every way.

I believe iPhone 4 will share almost similar pricing scheme as that of iPhone 3GS - if not a bit cheaper. But that's just me.

How about you? How much do you think iPhone 4 will cost when it gets released in the Philippines? Please leave your peg for Prepaid Kit pricing below. Thanks!

  1. bakit sobrang mahal kapag binili mo iphone dito sa pinas???? compare the price from the U.S.

  5. FYI lang. May plan din ang iphone s us kaya work $199 lang sya don kasi with 2years contract yun.. and pag binili mo yung iphone without any contract or plan.. its around $600 so same lang din katulad ng offer ng dun ang offer dito. Alamin muna before complaining or blaming somebody.. Hindi naman pwedeng mas mura ang iphone 4 sa mga nokia phones.. analyze it!
